Serengeti National Park-Tanzania, Stone Town, Zanzibar Beach Safari
An enjoyable 11-day safari that begins with a Tanzania safari and ends with 3 days in Zanzibar: TOUR CODE: JS 013. This 11-day safari is ideal for wildlife and beach lovers. You will travel through Tanzania’s most renowned game parks in the northern sector, including the Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater conservation areas, before continuing to Zanzibar for relaxing moments on the white sandy beaches lapped by turquoise seas.
Day 1: Arrival and head to Lake Manyara
You depart from Arusha in the early afternoon and head towards Lake Manyara National Park. The hotel where we stay this night is situated on the rock escarpment overlooking the lake. Dinner will be served at Lake Manyara Serena Lodge or Kirurumu Luxury Tented Camp where you will spend your 1st night on this safari. BB
Day 2: Serengeti National Park
After an early morning breakfast we proceed for an enjoyable game drive in the Lake Manyara National Park, looking for tree-climbing lions as well as a huge variety of birds. After lunch, we transfer to the Serengeti National Park where we spend two days exploring the plains. Depending on the time and season of the year, there is a likeliness of witnessing the great annual wildebeest migration. We spend the next 2 nights at the Serengeti Sopa or Serengeti Serena Lodge. FB
Day 3: Serengeti National Park
Embark on a morning and afternoon game drive in the Serengeti National Park. Remember that this park offers unparalleled African safari opportunities with great beauty and synchrony of nature to appreciate. On these two game drives, we look out for lions, cheetahs, Zebras, Large herd of giraffes, Elands, Impala, Thomson’s and Grant’s Gazelles, Klipspringers, warthogs, to mention but a few. FB
Day 4: Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After breakfast we head to one of the highly visited East African destinations towards Olduvai Gorge to view the archaeological fossil fragments believed to be the ancestors of present day man. After a picnic lunch we will continue on to the Ngorongoro Crater where you will be staying at the Ngorongoro Sopa or Ngorongor Wildlife Lodge. FB
Day 5 – 6: Tarangire National Park
After breakfast you depart the Ngorongoro and drive to Mto Wa Mbu Village, arriving in time for an excursion to the local village. Lunch is provided by Serena Active followed by a real cultural experience, feeling the heartbeat of an authentic African village in every step you take.
You will encounter many locals and sense the existence of their being. A leisurely stroll with a village guide will take you through local homes, farmlands, resident bars, a kindergarten and a church. After the walk we gather at a private, local banana-leaf bar, for a one in a million African fruit tasting. A wide variety of local fruits will be presented to you to taste and appreciate. Following the excursion you continue to Tarangire National Park with a game drive en route to your lodge, located deep within the park. Spend 02 nights at the Tarangire Sopa Lodge. FB
